I put my bees in silver boxes that capture and retain the natural energy flux of the bees and reflect away the bad karma, that way I dont need to buy crystals every year :)

Translation from new age speak:
I have foil coated insulated hives that retain the bees heat and reflect the insolation from the sun preventing solar gain over heating. i dont buy oxalic crystals (high humidity internal environment).

there's a strong ley line running through Brynmair - there seems to be an inexorable force drawing me from my chair to the fridge in the kitchen - seems stronger after the sun goes down

Some strange force continually draws me towards beehives.....

That said, I can dowse to find water pipes etc. A late, great uncle used to travel quite a bit to locate sites for new wells. Received wisdom is that there is a difference between dowsing for water and dowsing for drinking water.

Are you sure it isn't the bottled elixir of good vibes and wellbeing that draws you to the fridge?

And I agree with you that good insulation must play a major role in keeping bees healthy and varroa levels down ... My practical experience with a super insulated hive has convinced me that this is definitely the way beekeeping will be for me in the future .... Of course this can only be unproved by siting my hives with the aid of divining rods ....

Ah - that's in the second fridge which happens to be next to my frame making bench (spent a lot of time in there this summer with the super flow on!)

See? The existence of ley lines is finally debunked. Draw a line between fridges anywhere in the country and I guarantee that many of them will intersect with both of JBM's fridges.

Yes indeedy. But many of those lines may have to circle the globe several times to do so.

As we live on a 3D sphere and not a 2D surface , all lines are curved so it make sense to circle the globe with them.. On that basis, ley lines cover the entire surface of the world...

It now makes sense.. All I need is a special line shifting machine and I can refill my fridge from the Welsh Wizards's one.

This also explains CCD: it's the leylines wot done it...

He also makes this comment about lack of swarms (from pargyles link again). My bold highlight.

I can find pipes and ducts underground to within a foot or so Possibly something to do with trenching disturbing the deposited earth. Works in places I have never been to before as well as locally and below levelled concrete. Don't know why it works but it does for me.

So can I, and I have no idea how it works.

Not necessarily. Archaeologists debunked ley lines with shape analysis theory. 137 random points. Draw lines, and eighty lines will cross or touch 4 of those random points. There's certainly more than 137 fridges in my village and so the lines definitely wouldn't have to go round the earth.

Anyway, if you want to put your bees on the site of supposed ley lines that's up to you I suppose.

The water board use dowsing rods too! :)

TC Lethbridge has something to say about that and leylines I think.

just because someone might believe water is dry , the truth is that it is wet, no matter what people believe the truth is the truth and mother earth is a living thing with viens and energy i.e - leylines ....

I know a guy who was paid by the NBC for locating unmarked mine shafts . He used a crystal on a string in conjunction with o/s maps .
I'm not sure if the NBC were aware of his methods but paid him well!
I suspect he was a good detective and research historian !
He was a retired headmaster .
