As in the title what will remove propolis from stainless steel without damaging it?

i use strong washing soda AND plastic pan scrubber but if it is really thick soak it for 30minutes and use a stainless steel type brillo pad

Neat bleach will remove it no problem, domestos or similar.

How about off plastic - my Th@rnes Lightweight has what looks like a stain inside which I guess is propolis!?

White spirit - or meths - dissolve it...

I use white spirit .. no point in wasting alcohol,,,,::confused:

Washing soda crystals beat meths ,which evaporates quickly leaving a sticky film :(

Yes, washing soda is ok.

While I use isopropyl alcohol (because it is dirt cheap) which fully evaporates leaving no residue or smell I'd be very reluctant to use white spirit, or meths on anything that came near honey processing equipment.

Many thanks I used the iso whatsit and it worked a treat.

The same as one would use on ones gloves - hot water & washing soda. Or a dab of petrol on a rag if you are not so fussy - bees ain't. Seems you don't get propolis on your gloves though?

Do you use petrol to get propolis off your honey preparation area???? I hope not

I use oxalic acid on all the stainless steel on the boat, works a treat of rust and stain etc, so may also take off propolis to...
