Hi Tim

could you suggest any of the free ones please?

Quickfile and Wave are free at the moment. I say at the moment because what was the best free one Xero is now pay monthly. I know many who use it and like it.

We have used Sage for the past 8 years and are so used to the way it works. Our accountant wanted us to go with quickbooks but we did not like the way it worked for us. Personal choice really.

im guessing both are ready for the digital method?

Interesting software...anyone heard of or used Pandle? There is a free version and a £5/month version both of which will submit VAT returns online.

been playing with both wave and quickfile for the afternoon as the weather has been yuck today, and found that quickfile is much easier to use that wave, but that's just me others may find the other way round.

I love the upload of receipts so they can be stored online with the accounts, this is a great idea as I have noticed that the till receipts now days the ink fades after a while.
