I didn’t see the program and this gal has my back up. I haven’t read a load of old carp on the forum in a long time. Crystals in a bee hive, what is that about, did a space ship land and I missed the coverage on the news.
This reads like a case of rattle fallen from the pram to me. However, it does sound like you have found yourself a nice little money earner exploiting your bees on the TV the natural way, so good luck with that.....

1, you didn't / haven't seen the programme? so therefore speak/type from a position of ignorance.
2, crystals in the hive? they weren't! see Heidi's response (that you copied and pasted without reading)
3, I don't think that folk get paid by the BBC to promote their style of beekeeping.
4, Heidi doesn't 'exploit' her bees, that's the whole point! ;)

please be nice to the others in the playground, eh?

My main hives are lucky and have full range of blossom - wildflower, acacia, chestnut then clover.

remainder have OSR followed by suburban (village) garden forage.

When my internet is working better and I can access this thing on iplayer, then I’ll come back with more detailed comments. Up until that point I can only comment on what she and others have written, eh...

yes mate, but it'd help if you read the responses more fully, as it appears you 'skip-read' some of the responses ;)

anywho, from one norfolk beekeepere to another, hope you and your bees do well over the winter.
regards, Tony

I read the threads through from start to finish. Having been on the forum for a while you get to know which posters are limp rags and others which will speak their minds and know what they are talking about.
I’m not talking about this conversation by the way,:)....

As an illustration of the progression of the average forum debate on the gentle art of beekeeping ........

Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. (With the possible exception of my good friend DB ....:sifone:)

bucket of toffee please. cant stand salted popcorn.

Well I think Heidi Herrmann would be a great thing for the forum. I have had the pleasure of speaking to her after a fascinating talk she gave a couple of years ago now but help mould my own brand of beekeeping as I was starting to question the standard practises. She was one of a number of talkers and she received the largest applause and the room listened to her in silence and no fidgeting as with other talkers she just talked about the bees, habitat and the environment and this was perhaps a difficult room as it was wall to wall BBKA associations and members, it was an eye opener and not just the rush for honey yield.

:thanks:

:spy:just found a box of crystals that resonate at exactly 7.83 Herts.... off to block up the nadir gaps as soon as the moon rises... it is waxing after all !

AND... you lot gave ME stick for suggesting going back to beekeepering in SKEPS !!!![

one of the main reasons the bees attacked twice was they were in an enclosed area mimicking a hollow tree or cave and there space was being invaded i would do the same if i found someone in my house and not on the pavement out side wouldn't you all creatures have a certain distance of space before they will attack

Perhaps it should be termed "alternative" beekeeping rather than "natural"?
Still luuurv the crystals
:)

"apicentric" has been mooted.......

I wonder if she uses dowsing rods to position the hives.

would you say you were a more natural pop corn lover :hairpull:

Nope defo toffee, what else could i use all that sugar for now that i dont feed it to my bees now im a natural beekeeper :icon_204-2::icon_204-2::icon_204-2::icon_204-2:
