No deep fried mars bars? I reckon they're probably quite nice. Anyone tried one?

Deep fried battered haggis sausage is very tasty.
10,000 calories in one meal and a heart attack within a year guaranteed...

Yes - and deep fried creme eggs - both absolutely disgusting (could be God's way of wiping out the porridge eating savages though? :biggrinjester:)

Just started snowing, could be a sign that it is going to warm up a bit more, soon.

Dunno - vile and very cold North East wind up here in Hampshire, garden pond frozen all day yesterday and still frozen this morning. No sign of anything making blossom yet - Warming up soon - I seriously hope so !!

Weather

Let's hope so Pete, wouldn't that BEE nice 16 degrees!!!!!

Gee whiz, am I glad that the hives are tucked up with new stores - back to winter blizzards here!

Dandelions!!

Still a bit chilly but the wind has died down quite a bit - apiary about twelve degrees at midday and a bee landed with her pollen sacks crammed with - yes! - DANDELION. Had a quick check of the Brynmair nature reserve (sorry, garden) and quite a few have opened today - saw a few on the road verges too.
Can't believe as a (moderately) keen gardener i'd be overjoyed at the first sign of dandelions!! :D

Still ruddy close to freezing down here in the bottom right hand corner.

The wind is still howling out of the East and the temperature did briefly struggle above 4C.
Quite a lot of snowdrops and crocuses appearing now ... Almost ready for March ...
