Don't know about any of the scientific stuf,but i do know that if you have a cut or burn and use honey as a dressing,it heals much much faster.

I know too that if you have a bad burning on your skin, don't put anything in it. Body fluids make there a mebrane on wound and the worst thing is that yeast start to act under the membrane. Honey has yeast cells and stuff for fermenting.

No, Finman - a 1st or 2nd degree burn is eased by Aloe Vera plant. I always keep a plant in the kitchen and if burnt - break off a fleshy leaf and smear on the sap - works wonders.
Otherwise -Nothing but cold water for 5 full minutes!!
