From previous experience I would say that the prices include VAT but their standard carriage charges apply! (ie £100 or above orders are delivered free)

Yep... that's wot it says!!!

ADMIN... Blatant Advertising !!!

Yes I laughed at the expiry date!

I am not advertising on my behalf or theirs, purely passing on info for any member of the forum that does not receive their own email.
Hence no mention of th name and the missing line from the email mentioning the website etc.

inflation

Prices have gone up since the sale days. Inflation - I blame quantitititative easing!

I agree - this isnt commercial advertising - it is simply someone passing on sale details.

Are the hive prices quoted for Western Red Cedar?

yes or a lighter coloured white cedar , serviceable but you get a few odd knots

i bought six supers last year and made up 5 good quality by swapping bits around, one just serviceable , i soak all the parts for a day to get the sides straight...

moral: leave the flat packs outside and not to dry out in a centrally heated house

Hmm....you wouldn't need to do it with some of M'more's atm....made up a couple of deep roofs the other day and the sap was dripping out the nail holes. Storing our unmades in a shed this time. Been there, had the warped super...but only one.

Now sat in the 'virtual queue' for the opening of the online sale together with flask and sleeping bag, been here since 4 this morning - I'm tempted now to squeeze myself into the kneehole space of my rolltop desk just to get the full smart car experience - it looked so much fun in the photos!! :D

5 mins to go. I wish Thornes were clever enough to make the holding page a tad (more) interesting! Eg. a list of products that would be in the sale with photos. I guess they feel that marketing isn't needed from where they are in the marketplace. Oh well...

Shopping done! Now all I have to do is hide the kit from the wife, just like she hides the Littlewoods invoices!

120 quid later although I always find the Thorne's online system a tad trying!

Suggestion: allow us to turn the VAT on/off as not all of us are bee farmers!

:iagree: although this time it's not so bad as I'll be using the money she has saved from selling my honey in work to pay for some of it (I also have a very understanding mother who takes delivery!!
