Apparently the lunar wobble is responsible for causing tidal surges that threaten flooding of low lying areas so could threaten sugar beat production. Not climate change per se - just pure physics but yes, it's already being highjacked by the climate doom sayers.
I have just returned from Glastonbury High Street. Plenty of Lunar wobble there already.

Ah, I thought the lunar wobble was what you got after consuming too much scrumpy, especially in Somerset. :laughing-smiley-014

£5 off £25 coupons for Lidl in the Metro (page 6) both today and yesterday. If totally spent on sugar (Lidl 65p per Kg)
39 kg bags at 65p in Lidl = £25.35 with discount coupon = £20.35 this works out at 52.12 p per Kg

This beats Farmfoods 2kg for £1.20 is initially cheaper but their discount coupon ( £2 off £25 ) is lower
42 bags at farmfoods @ 60p per Kg = £25.20 but with £2 off = £23.20 works out at 55.2p per Kg

Its a "Yorkshire thing"!

Home Bargains: 62p/Kg

Sugar futures hit a 12 year high in the USA yesterday. A combination of production issues (El Nino) and poor Indian planting conditions for next years crop are blamed.

Looking at the chart prices could go further from current $0.27 per pound to $0.32 or higher.

I expect an impact on general food prices.
Yes: I have stocked up for next year.

How to mix sugar with petrol?
Use sugar to brew ethanol alcohol. Distill ethanol from this. Add to petrol. Means some of the fuel is not derived from fossil fuels. Doesn't mean the ethanol was sustainably produced or factor in the ethics of using arable land to produce non food products. Also less efficient and increaes wear on engines. There's a hint of greenwash hogwash to it.

Usually done in countries worried about trade deficits to decrease reliance on oil imports, ie Mexico
