simple observation hive plans

Hi,

what kind of a obs. hive would be best for one day bee demo? I was asked to do it at the beginning of June so got some time to knock one together.

The standard ones are good design if you want to copy them.

Most of the general public want to see the queen so a strip of QE between the nuc chamber and the frame on display. Go for a perspex window which much safer as you can guarantee when you turn your back for 5 seconds a child will try and pull it off the table or undo the latches holding it all together.
