Yes I saw that coming through my emails last night and was going to start a thread but you beat me to it...I had to re read 3 times and burst out laughing. Some people are really taking the piss!

Where is our Finnish friend when we need a comment on the typically English catch and release method of keeping bees?

sounds like a bog standard made up nuc with a queen introduced.
Seems people aren't happy these days unless each frame is wall to wall brood and there's a guaranteed 100 lb harvest at the end which the vendor will extract and bottle for you.

I too don't see the problem. The description is good and the price is stated.... How can that be anything but fair. If you think it is worth it you buy it. If not you don.'t.

It is fair because it is advertised as what it is unlike the earlier thread in the week but it seems to be getting all over the shop with the sale of nucs with no consistency in terms of quality, quantity and price which perhaps fuel customers expectations? Bring back the 5 frames nuc!!

For 140 pounds.. I would give full colony in 2 boxes, with minimum 8 frames of brood and 2 superfull frames with food and rest 10 combs built, foundations or whatever. Oh and wood in which colony reside will give for free ( bottom board, 2 boxes, feeder, roof).. And again I don't have any buyers.. What different worlds we live in..

Sugar honey Ice tea!
How much would the carage be you might be on to something there Goran

Now that sounds like a good deal Goran...... I assume Langstroth boxes so would be of limited demand in the U.K. but a lot of bees in that package.

I have re-read it and I know what its saying, I still think it reads "badly" - and I haven't even been on the wobbly water - apologies if my forthrightness offended.

Forthright is one thing but shouting "fraud" when the seller was actually being a lot more honest in his description of a made up nuc than many others round the country selling similar was a bit much.
And no, I know nothing about the bloke, have no opinion as to the provenance or quality (be it good or bad) of the bees on offer. Just sayin there was nothing wrong with the advert.

Langstroth deep boxes..
Now You can see that hard work and honesty isn't appreciated at my place..

When I first read it I thought the 'three frames of brood' were the one frame partly started and the two of foundation... That would be a bad deal...

You still don't understand do you. 6 frames.....AS ADVERTISED.....drawn comb etc. as the BBKA state. NOT empty foundation as I received They compensated me £130, without admitting liablity, but that says it all!
I will have 24 bottle cases of wine to sell soon........Up for it then? You're that much of an idiot to accept 22? LOL
