I have re-read it and I know what its saying, I still think it reads "badly" - and I haven't even been on the wobbly water - apologies if my forthrightness offended.

I don't know any of the parties involved but it seems to me that a line was crossed into defamation and risks legal recompense.

The buy and sell section on this forum gets very little use, look at some of the comments and it’s little wonder. Most have no interest in purchasing buts it’s a case of its to expensive the bees are the wrong type I could get them cheaper the normal stuff. Unless you are highlighting a criminal post why bother commenting if you have no interest. Personally I would like to see any buy and sell adds moderated more heavily. The sum to advertise is not cheap, if the section was used more regularly there’s more revenue for the forum, even if free it would generate interest and traffic. Ian

You still don't understand do you. 6 frames.....AS ADVERTISED.....drawn comb etc. as the BBKA state. NOT empty foundation as I received They compensated me £130, without admitting liablity, but that says it all!
I will have 24 bottle cases of wine to sell soon........Up for it then? You're that much of an idiot to accept 22? LOL

The "idiot" to me would be the one blindly believing that anything the BBKA says is gospel or that anyone in 3/4 of the UK nations gives a toss what they say., instead of reading the advert in front of him.
Or perhaps, such an "idiot" should have actually read the BBKA advice which clearly states in the opening paragraphs.......

"If you expect to buy a nucleus to these standards you should
check with the seller that it complies with the “BBKA Standard”. If not, then there may be a reason and the buyer may
have a difficult decision to make."

You obviously didn't bother reading the first post where it clearly states the vendor did not advertise six frames of bees/brood

I agree, it is a bit steep for what's offered but the ad is honest, if a little muddled in the wording, took me a few goes to get it, (I'm not saying I'm the sharpest tool in the box, but I usually manage to understand an advert!)

I just heard a great 1 for honest and clear advertising......Pepsi for when there is no Coke.....I liked it

I've seen this advert. In my opinion it's an honest advert, he isn't trying to con anyone, but it's disingenuous in that it's creating the impression that it's a nuc in the traditional sense.
The problem is if new inexperienced beekeepers buy these because they see them as far cheaper than anything else on offer from commercial suppliers, they may struggle with the early management without an experienced mentor, especially if the weather turns nasty for any length of time.

He's just trying to be different and fragment the market, but it will probably backfire and cause more problems that it's worth.
Quality always win out in the end, you don't have to be the cheapest to grow a business.
