Keeping bees on the roof of the office - Advice needed

Have a word with these guys. There was a social enterprise approaching city companies to place hives on their rooftops a couple of years ago, "golden" something, but I cant find details, but these will be able to give you all the advice you need.

551 apiaries. I wonder how many actual hives that is. And it doesn't include all the hives which aren't registered. Seems like London already has plenty of bees and companies should be helping existing ones, not acquiring more. Not so profitable for the suppliers though and doesn't have the same PR value.
 
Perhaps that explains why there are 551 Apiaries within a 10km radius of me !
I wouldn't put a lot of faith in those numbers (Beebase?). The database is for disease checking not density studies so it is inclusive; that is there is every incentive to include every corner that ever had a hive, however short term. Having said that, even if it were accurate the 10km radius is over 300 square km, so it's still more than half a square km per site.
