No one has proved it is untrue. Well except for the water diviner test...
It's up to the supposed ley line diviners with their calibrated coat-hangers to prove they can detect lines that don't actually exist. A million dollars is quite an incentive. Why won't they go for it? Because it's horse ship.
If I thought for one moment it was true and I had this "ability" I'd be writing to the foundation this minute, rather than wasting my time trying to convince a load fence sitters they should jump.
A million dollars will buy an awful lot of flow hives.....just to get back on topic.

And there is another lot on the way.....:sos::sos::sos:
What could be better than a 1/2 hour forecast of heavy rain.... all I need is a forum member in the Scillies... or even the Lizzard would do

Right again ... pee'd down all evening ... just about stopped now but very very humid ...These fronts are moving very quickly ... it's usually three or four hours at least from when you get it to when it really starts up here.

Actually ... if you read my posts PROPERLY rather than just ranting on in your usual bombastic way I think that you will find that there is not a word of encouragement from me for anyone to do anything. I merely presented the observations that I have made from what I have done .. I don't know whether it's just random good luck or something tangible that is happening - I can't explain it and my view (like the CD varroa scratching posts - which, I hate to say it, do seem to be having a small but noticeable effect in the hive they are in) is that it costs virtually nothing to try it, it is not harmful in any way and if there is a benefit then I gratefully accept whatever comes of it.

Now .. get back in your box.:calmdown:

Tis in the genetic mix... some folk are just ALWAYS right... seems to me the farther East one travels the levels of bombastic behavior increase exponentially... do not think I could live in Vladivostok!

However back to Flow's hives... do the things actually work?... or are they like perpetual motion... work in theory... but not in this Universe?... or like my pension fund.. where did all the money go?

Who was Flow anyway???

I don't know whether he's a native Yorkshireman but with an attitude like that in Yorkshire he's going to pick a lot of fights ...

Duno do we - the only 'proof' we have so far is engineered demonstrations by the sellers.

Always remeinds me of walking down avenue B at the Royal Welsh - all the salesmen with their revoloutionary time saving kitchen appliances and wonder all in one tools - they work fantastically well in the demonstrations, all the housewives and workshop tinkerers rush in waving their hard earned cash, take them home, use them (unsuccesfuly) once "that's funny, worked a reat at the Royal Welsh" and they are then consignend to the cupboard under the stairs.

... it's horse ship.
... the charlatans.

There are people who say they can dowse, and there are people who think placing bees on energy points has a positive result. If it works for them, then fine, but there's no need to be all aggressive and angry and start name calling. If you don't accept that either works, and don't want to try it, that's fine. Nobody's asking you to give money for nothing, and nobody's standing next to you and forcing you to do anything you don't want to do, so why don't you ease back a bit and relax.

And back to those fancy frames. There are two for sale, current bid is just £21 which isn't enough to reach the reserve price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Beekee...-Kits-For-Deep-Super-Brood-Box-/261996274953?

I'm assuming that this type of frame can be taken from a hive and opened indoors, on a stand or something. Is that right?

I have a feeling that in certain climates and foraging (consistently warm and with honey that does 'flow') they could work - for a time. Having seen how some of my bees propolise everything and their contrary ways of storing what they want where they want I have doubts about whether the flow frames will work as well as the alleged demonstration videos show.

My issue has not been the actual product but the videos showing 'honey on tap' which must have been artificially created. Judging by the FH Forum a vast number of the people who bought in to it are absolute beginners so the challenges of getting it all together - as well as field trialling a brand new and largely untested concept will be interesting to watch !

I suspect in the expert hands of the creators they may be efficacious - but in Australia there is a lot of honey derived from trees like Jarra, Stringy Bark and Acacia which are very runny and with temperatures in the Aussie honey season consistently above 20 deg C there is a strong chance that it will flow out.

Having seen how long it has taken for some of my crush and strain honey to run though a strainer I'm not sure how long (or indeed if !!) the frames will take to drain in the UK.

How the bees will react given the choice between their own comb and the flow frames ... we have yet to see.

seriously, you aint seen any of the promo videos:icon_204-2:

you have adapted boxes, with cut outs for the frames, the frames stay in the box and you harvest from there,

as below

There is one video on their site where a frame is drained sitting on the bench as a demo of how the mechanism works - rather defeats the object of the frames though.....

Words from China is there flow frames made in china, are manufactured from food grade polypropylene, and they are BPA free.

Those were the questions I asked them.....also it would seem, you can offer what you like, and they will accept. Slowly beating them down....when I get to £20 a frame, I'll have 20!

Yes, I have seen videos, but if I do end up buying some of these frames to see what they're like, and to find out if they will work in my area, I've no intention of cutting lumps out of any of my boxes to adapt them.

Thanks. Maybe it does defeat the object, and the intention of selling the system as a whole kit, but it shows how it could be done.

I'd wait until the end of next year as I reckon ebay will be full of the things when all these newbies realise that there's a bit more to keeping bees than turning a handle ... probably complete hives with the holes already cut out ! So you can leave yours unadulterated .....

We simply believe in telling it as it is. If it's crap it's crap. Saves all that diplomatic stuff saying lots of long words and end up saying nowt.
Old Yorkshire saying "Tha can allus tell a Yorkshireman....but you can't tell him much!" .......See we have a sterotype image to live up to.

I don't think there will be a lot of Flows on eBay...as not a lot were sold to the UK. Probably more from the USA but postage and import tax would be expensive.

quite a few brits have bought them, but so far they all seem to be mad established beekeepers that know there's more to it than turning a tap

I doubt they will post any of it though. Somebody will have to make a Chinese counterfeit of the forum ;)
