Zoom has been a steep learning curve for nearly everyone. I'd advise doing one or two practice runs beforehand, specifically practising all the 'host' functions to minimise attendee problems on the night (bearing in mind that some attendees are using it for the first time ever!)
E.g the host can instantly mute/stop video of all or any attendees who can't do it themselves, saving a potentially embarrassing situation.
I've attended several zooms where an attendee has started a conversation at home, oblivious that their mic is still on and drowning out the invited speaker (or sometimes, much worse, forgotten their video is running!) If the host/co-host had worked out all the controls, then the 90+yo attendee who's never used zoom before would be saved a lot of embarrassment!
Still, it makes it entertaining for everyone else...
