He could sell it to Rowse in barrels for that.

True... but Rowse want a minimum of a ton at a time!

Lately the "foodie fairs" have been asking for hard copies ( originals) of Insurances cover... Products liability of £5000000, Third party Public liability, plus copies of food hygiene certification and a written risk assessment .. for that event...

Cornwall Council environmental official said that a "hygiene rating" would be needed specifically for the "stall" and could not be "transferred" from your kitchen!
That makes sense if you are selling burgers!

Will this ease once we have left the EU ?

How can you possibly get a hygeine rating for the specific stall unless a council employee is there to do it on the day. Difficult enough to arrange one for our B and B we used to have!

Of course it will. It's those nasty EU officials forcing Cornwall bureaucrats to be bureaucratic... left to their own inclinations they would reduce bureaucracy and do themselves out of jobs...

How was getting a B&B certified difficult? They used to phone us, arrange a date and time, turn up look at the paperwork check the kitchen and go.

Last inspection was our usual 5* followed up by a lovely letter saying as we were so good we could display the letter of commendation, which had been awarded to 28 places in total in the whole of NW Leicesterhsire. I was seriously pleased with that one!

The two days of kitchen cleaning had paid off. Cillet Bang is excellent for tiles and units, beats Flash into a cocked hat.
