How many occupied hives has Finman got and why is he so shy about this when he is more than happy to tell us how crap everyone else is, how he has kept bees for ever and did biology.....oh, and that he gets very cross when anyone has a different point of view or a different experience.....oh, and one more thing - maximum honey yield / money are the yardstick by which we can measure our success.

But unlike you I don't teach bee keeping or even want to, I simply tell it how it is, not you must do this or you mustn't do that. I actually turn people away that want to pay me to teach them about bees and bee keeping.

You really shouldn't get so upset that other people can do things differently from you or for that matter think for themselves.. This forum is full of adults so perhaps it would be better if you stopped talking to people as though they are children. That Budgie bloke of whatever his name was liked to do that as well.

As usual I expect selective quoting out of context.

Not even that. He must be a politician.

My mother is senile and makes more sense than some of his replies..

Note the word "Replies" as opposed to "answers".

Listen to yourself. You are only one who can love bees without doing nothing.
öh öh . The candle of folks who DOES NOTHING:::

And what is wrong if you do money with bees. It is same kind of work as nurse pigs or dogs.

I have earned all my property and living with my own work and beekeeping has been part of it. What is wrong in that, you beelover.

I have read the report on Scottish bees.

Surely it must all be lies that there are varroa free colonnies there.

Heheheh . You should separate ask and anwer. You do both and even in wrong order. Peace to your mother.

Totally bonkers.

I don't get this. There are varroa free bees in remote parts of Scotland.

I know.

But I also know somebody who will refuse to accept that there are.

Half Norway is varroa free.

in Finland Ahvenanmaa Peninsula is varroa free, and some parts of Lapland.

And Australia.

But bees are not varroa free, not even in Scotland.

Im not experienced enough to comment really yet but I would say there is usually a natural balance. Most parasites don't intend killing their hosts, why would they want to do that?

There is a balance between the Varroa and Eastern honeybee but that has developed through thousands and thousands of years of co-evolution. That is the whole problem with Varroa and our European honeybees. European bees have not had the benefit of this co-evolution and so are very vulnerable to Varroa. They have not had time to reach that balance.

The far north and west of Scotland have areas that are Varroa-free and there is a push to have a Varroa-free zone made up of some of the hebrides with bans on moving bees in to these areas. I suspect that it is only a matter of time before the mites arrive though :(

So what I just read elswhere on the forum about varroa free colonies must mean that its the beekeepers who are free of varroa and not the bees.

A report says that there are varroa free colonies in Scotland and you say

I assume you find it easier to give idiotic replies than to actually enter into a proper discusion as to your reasoning that bees will die if not treated with chemicals.

Even proper discussion with you is wasting my only life.
Find somebody else whom you can bite ankle all the time.

Instead of replies like that why dont you actually answer in a way that is relevant to the subject?
I cant find anywhere that you have managed a proper discussion with anybody.

The answer to a report about varroa free colonies didnt make the slightest bit of sense to anybody other than yourself.

Even proper discussion with you is wasting my only life.
You dont know how to have one.
I am on the computer for most of the day because its part of my income... Why are you here all day? Nothing better to do?

Nothing better to do?

You should consentrate to your financial work and not to write carbage.

I am retired and I do what I get into my my mind. My age is 66 and I have never got my fee from social office.

?

All answers you find from google. Search them and read. You need not invent anything. You are computer specialist. There are good summaries what is happening in differet countries and what results they have got.

Only difficulty is to separate real information producers and "feeling good guys".
I am very good to separate real information sources and carbage sources.
I got my linving from that nearly 40 years.

You know that phenemenom, carbage in - cold out...
