Horse bedding in Devon?

Does anyone know where I can get hemp horse bedding in Devon? It was recommended as a smoker fuel on the Buckfast Abbey Intermediate Keepers course.

Local agricultural merchants (mole valley farmers or Cornwall farmers down this way) will stock it but only in large bags/bales your best bet for a small quantity would be to find a horsey person and see if you can grab a small amount.

Nothing illegal about hemp seeds if you have a licence to grow it. It can be grown anyway but there isnt sufficient sun in the UK to create the active ingredient to make it wacky, which is why people use all those lamps and heat to grow it.

A piece of good hemp rope should smoulder quite well in a smoker ??

You could always grow your own... seeds are freely available in Totnes I believe

That's what I use for my chicken run...Auboise or Hemcore. Must try it.
