For those of you that remember the BBC 2 series "Victorian Farm" well the Old boy that owns the place is now renting it as a holiday home.

I am sure of you will be interested to know that the Ginger Bird has her own web site

Some of you will recorded the tin bath sketch for later use:puke::svengo
"the Ginger Bird" :laughing-smiley-014
That did make me chuckle, the first thing I thought of when reading your post was her cheese grater voice.
I did enjoy that series. It did give an insight into what life was like back then.
And anyone who wants to get the complete BBC media experience can meet the Victorian bee maestro, Brian Goodwin himself on Wednesdays at the Shropshire Beekeepers' Association apiary - he is our president and runs the beginners' course. Top man, what Brian doesn't know isn't worth knowing. I remember doing the course with him last year and him saying to a group of us.
" Listen, do you hear that, that hum? Thats the sound of a queen right colony"
And we had not even taken the roof off! Manipulates the bees in a very gentle fashion.
