XGeordie, I hope that you are better at spotting queens than ladies. MilkerMel is not a drone, a fact that seems to have escaped you. Not that it changes anything one way or another, but thought you might like to be aware.

AHH, that second capitalised 'M' gives it away.

Initially I wondered whether it was 'milker-Mel', or 'mil-kermel', but the possible confusion did not last long.

Regards, RAB

I'll leave this thread to you and your mate Milkermel, who apparently does not want to "waste" his time responding to facts, but does find time on advising how to SPREAD myxomatosis. Unbelievable.

smile geordie you take life far tooo seriously!

I dont necessarily condone spreading mixy however the person was asking what they should do, they sounded like they didnt want to kill the ill rabbit because they wanted the infection to spread. IMO this is cruel so I was just pointing out that if they dispatched the rabitt and left it there it would maybe keep the desease spreading. But dont worry I wouldnt expect you to understand that either. BTW are you stalking me??? :willy_nilly:

I dont waste my time with facts and figures as these are so offten distorted by spin and what people want to portray rather than the real facts, I speak from experience maybe not as many years as others but enough to have a deep belief in what i say. You may want to go and have a look at THL forum they have lots of debates about foxes and RSPCA on there, it is part of the reason I try not to get involved with it usually as I know it can go on for pages ;)

But dont worry they bees will be flying soon and we can all go out and play then and be nice happy bunnies!!!:D

Thanks Hombre and RAB, got to ask though what is a kermel??

A kermel? It's something you get in the middle of a mut !!!

What's a Kermel?

You'll love this, courtesy of Google of course - if in doubt ask big G . . .

Protective clothing, flames resistant clothing - Kermel aramid fibres
KERMEL is the leading European manufacturer of aramid fibres dedicated to heat and flame resistant protective clothing. The Kermel fibre is dedicated to fire brigades, military and public order, people working in industries. Since 2010, KERMEL has been present in high speed sports with SKEED®
.

Now is that a foxy answer or what? Take no prisoners Mel . . .:) :)

Sorry - the targeted page seems to have gone down for some reason; effectively what it says is that people here are petitioning because a field that was left to the RSPCA just a few years ago under the condition that it was to be used only for grazing is now being sold by the RSPCA for development and 4 houses will be built on it. There's ethics for you - I regard that as outright theft.

Could be that some kind soul has pointed out to the RSPCA that the link was there and also suggested that they read the NZ bees thread and they decided to pull some strings to get the link removed before they fell under the same sort of spotlight.

Would Libiya have happened if Egypt hadn't happened first?

It's a shame that the RSPCA couldn't get planning permission and a caveat in the will come into force to revoke the gift in favour of some distant needy relative, who could benefit not only from the land, but perhaps even from the planning permission. I love irony.

Link is working again!

didnt realise where this was Gee on IOW bet that will make some money! Bet they must be rubbing their hands together! So how can i get my name onto that petition?? I will happily sign and could probably get some more signatures by tues! PM me if it is possible to get signatures over!

Hope they come back and haunt the RSPCA

Dammit, we've been rumbled. As soon as I saw that post I phoned a special "Black Ops" section of the RSPCA, set up to "handle" any negative publicity. One of our of cyber terrorists (paid for with public donations of course) then launched a DoS attack on the Isle of Wight CP Servers.

Bwaa Ha ha ha ha. Oh, the links back up....

Very disrespectful to the memory of the deceased person who was generous enough (rest in peace oh misguided soul) to leave something to the RSPCA. Arrogant, greedy, the list of adjectives goes on.

There are quite a few cases of the RSPCA being left estates and large amounts of cash.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/oct/10/daughter-rspca-will

This one where the daughter would of split the state but the RSPCA would only except all. And so lost in court and got nothing.

The RSPCA as a charity is not subject to publish what they spend the donations on. Something i think people if they knew where it was going would give less to.

Someone donating to a puppy on telly would not think the donation would go to a blood sucking lawyer!! Adminstrative staff on mega wages, and move on through the multi-million advertising campaigns and the aggressive student fundraisers.

Outrageous! :puke:
Makes one wonder about a lot of other large charities too, which is a shame because they can't all be so unscrupulous. RSPCA are doing them a disservice too.

Here we go again - you have some evidence of how much is spent on lawyers and advertising campaigns? and admin staff on "mega wages"? ...or did you just make that up?

p.s on the face of it, I don't agree with this decision, but I enjoyed Hombre's conspiracy theory.

from past dealing i have found the guide dogs people to be very greedy t o

Splutter splutter........I couldn't agree more. AND heartless jobsworths.
I once had a client who was a clever scientist, went gradually but in the end totally blind, lived with his sighted but aged mother and a succession of guide dogs. His dogs enabled him to get the bus to work every day where he was a valued member of a small government department. His last was a beautiful GSD who used to run with my collies in the park at exercise time. His mother died but he was still able to manage but overfed his dog who got fat. I organised somebody to go feed her and give her extra exercise and waived all my veterinary fees. They took the dog off him because she was still overweight after six months though much less so than at the start. They didn't like non GDBA people exercising her and helping out with feeding.
They were completely deaf to my entreaties and plans to save the relationship. He stopped going to work and, a healthy 55 year old, died of a broken heart three months later. I will never forgive them.

I have had a lot of experience with the RSPCA and at grass roots level the care is exemplary.....It's just the shenanigans once you get into HQ and into their homes that beggar belief.

That's an appalling story Erichalfbee - I'm afraid I'm moving towards the position where my charitable fiver will go to a pavement-sitter rather than an official charity - at least they can choose how to spend it to best effect for them, which is more than you and your client could.

EricA that is so sad. I also know the Guide Dogs for the Blind export dogs to the far east. It is also a fact (yes a fact xg) the dogs are turned out into the mountains , well basically to starve, once their working life is over. Yes I know it doesn't happen to all of them, but too many it does happen to.

By the way Xgeordie, I don't see anyone else agreeing with you.
