How do you use less equipment by extracting more frequently?I agree and you use less equipment by extracting as the supers get filled.

Are you and King Canute related ?....back to "the objective"; my own: to ban swarming.
exactly that! The shortage of supers has been the driver to extract as I go along.I agree and you use less equipment by extracting as the supers get filled.
Reuse supers throughout the year vs keep popping a new one on?How do you use less equipment by extracting more frequently?
Yes, in that in reality, like him, I know the futility of that ambitious challenge. Are you and King Canute related ?
As others have said by extracting as they fill the supers can be reused! How do you use less equipment by extracting more frequently?
It’s a faff having to clean the extractor n times a season?I agree and you use less equipment by extracting as the supers get filled.
And in my case take the bloody legs off it to get it through the kitchen door !!It’s a faff having to clean the extractor n times a season?
That's the difference with having to extract in the kitchen or having it set up permanently. It’s a faff having to clean the extractor n times a season?
Agree, I think I’ll stick to the extra supers, and only have to clean the extractor once! Not to mention pull it in and out of the kitchen each time. It’s a faff having to clean the extractor n times a season?
What design are you trying? I’ve seen ones with a pole underneath a flat roof of some kind and some with a pitched roof over an old brood frame.3. Make a Russian Scion or two before swarming season!
would that be a Polish/russian hybrid? What design are you trying? I’ve seen ones with a pole underneath a flat roof
Sounds good.I was thinking of a flat roof with a rim around to shed the raindrops, and a central pole covered in beeswax, maybe with some lemongrass oil melted in. Suspended by the corners under a tree, with a pulley to lower the swarm down if I catch one.
I could try a 2nd design though...
I rinse my with the hose pipe and a cloth. It gets a full clean up at the end of the season. It’s a faff having to clean the extractor n times a season?
I have one one in garden two years running.I was thinking of a flat roof with a rim around to shed the raindrops, and a central pole covered in beeswax, maybe with some lemongrass oil melted in. Suspended by the corners under a tree, with a pulley to lower the swarm down if I catch one.
