Are bees generally more aggressive this time of year? Mine have been pretty good so far but yesterday I attempted to fix some insulation and was met with some very aggressive bees which I have not experienced before.
 
I don’t think inspections are anything they get used to never seen any research to suggest that more an old wives tale it’s darker colder. Probably much the same as them getting a bit defensive after the main flow ends.

We'd all get a kicking in spring if familiarity made them more docile.
