A Lesson on how not to?

I am just saying (and it seems as though several agree) that we can disagree with each other and we should offer advice, we all have massive amount to learn from each other but we don't need to be rude, offensive, acidic, slanderous or threatening.

This forum clearly has a huge amount of collective knowledge but my own experience is that there are a few individuals who seem to think that it is acceptable to be all of the things above. We just don't need to be like that, & let's be honest these attitudes and comments would not be tolerated at a local association meeting. If you were face to face with a person you disagreed with you would likely be far less rude & confrontational whilst still disagreeing.
I have received so many messages of support via private e-mail from people on this forum over my stance to stand up to people who overstepped the mark on my crowdfunding thread. At the time that started I was not a member of the forum, in fact I never knew of it's existence and was only alerted to some of the outrageous comments by someone who was concerned at the nature of the comments. Now just a week later some of the same people are getting into a similar feeding frenzy about another beekeeper who is not able to defend themselves and is slowly descending to the same level.

Come on, you know who you are and so do the rest of us.. stop hiding behind your usernames (because you can be found!) and try to be a little more supportive to others...that is all

It alludes to making sugar syrup and is a perennial joke. There are more recipes to make sugar syrup than you can shake a roomful of beekeepers at.

Amen!
.

It really is. We learn every year to mix sugar better and better. The last hit is to weigh moles.
Some are really specialisted to that, and some noticed last winter that bees eate sugar. Life is continuous learning, yes.

I bet that next issue is inverted moles by volume.

Finnie I think it's hilarious and so do you, I bet. Somebody always starts a thread on it and it always gets stupid. Lovely though ;)

Indeed, I purchased a Nuc myself recently and the feed chamber was filled with granulated sugar rather than syrup. ;)

You try to say that this thread was smart already at the beginning?
You have been blessed with a gift to see deeper than surface.

Ah ok thanks Erica! I do apologise but I am sure I will pick up Finman's witicims (I don't think that is how you spell that) as I spend more and more time on here.

I'm thinking of becoming a molekeeper. Is it the same as it is with beekeepers? No two molekeepers will give the same answer to a problem? Are they swarmy?

Mole is from German word mol.

How to weigh with moles?

If recipe is that 10 moles sugar, you must first catch 10 moles.

Then put into balance's another cup those 10 moles. Then pour sugar to another cup, and when balance is in balance, then you have 10 moles sugar.

Yes but what about when the moles go mouldy? ;)

Am I missing some point? Nobody is hiding behind a user name and wow, you CAN be found. Well that's a surprise
Forums have user names for reasons other than hiding.

I watched the vid- whilst it's car crash beekeeping doomed to failure - it appears he has done some research, just not enough. Those of you worried about the bees' long term suffering under his care can take comfort in the knowledge that the bees got stolen in September. There is a rather sad vid showing him stood amongst the remains of the hive -crownboard, roof and floor were left?!! Strange. But bees and brood box gone. I felt very sorry for him.
He got himself another colony of bees .....

Lets hope he gets some association based help, a good mentor and has some better luck...:)
