Sunny but chilly with us today, saw just a few on our snowdrops and crocus and some collecting water
Keep us updated will be interesting to know what's going onI’ve set up a camera in the apiary as I keep finding mysterious little piles of bee parts behind the hives. Not sure if it’s birds sitting on the fence or mice (?) but it’s certainly unwanted predation…..

Since 2014 fighting jets have been doing their exercises over my town regularly - here is a big reailway stantion. TV box is murmuring about the war. Today they say that American intelligence have got the info that date is 15-16 February. They hope to prevent the invasion by revealing this info. I don't believe much in media. They're speculating too much and distracting society from our dirty politicians, painting them as patriots .Whole day air traffic was so intense.. military, transport and God knows what fly over my head.. at the moment I was thinking just zeppelin to see and it is complete.. And suddenly all stopped.. Nothing good can't come up from that..
Yes, it is. But it is only in media. The real life is quiet. As for me, Canada is more interestingThe media is having an orgy over this.
interested to see the cause. I have this at my out apiary but i’m assuming it may be a shrew, eating the dead bees which have been removed from the hive. I have birds scavenge the dead at my home apiary but there are no signs of remains, the birds fly off with the whole body. So I think you might find it is a four legged creature and possibly just making use of what’s left outside.I’ve set up a camera in the apiary as I keep finding mysterious little piles of bee parts behind the hives. Not sure if it’s birds sitting on the fence or mice (?) but it’s certainly unwanted predation…..

The words “American“ and “intelligence“ really don’t belong in the same sentence anymore.....Since 2014 fighting jets have been doing their exercises over my town regularly - here is a big reailway stantion. Air forces is also not effective. When they tried to use air in the East, so-called rebels suddenly got the specific weapons and fired down a few aircrafts. Very skilled coal-miners, indeed.
Here the weather is cool, near zero C. In general this winter is not cold and snowy. Most of the colonies are in the winter mood and I'm too. Don't want to do anything outdoor.
mmmmm...... I can't believe press and politicians would try to use the threat of war to deflect criticism in the uk! .... what a strange concept!I don't believe much in media. They're speculating too much and distracting society from our dirty politicians, painting them as patriots .
Reminds me of my best mate's brother who was in the Met police, after a stint as armourer (although from a shooting family he is the last person I'd put in charge of a firearm) on one of Carressa Dick's team during the menendes scandal actually, he then moved to another discipline, when he told the family he was now working in police intelligence, the whole room burst out laughing - including his father! The words “American“ and “intelligence“ really don’t belong in the same sentence anymore.....
Went paddling
It's not my land that's the problem, there's an estate of starter units behind me built on the site of a 1947 Grenfell factory, they just didn't bother upgrading the drains. when they levelled out the site after the war (the land was my uncle Rhys's) it left the marshy farmland behind at a higher level than the factory, but the factory is six feet higher than our land so the water streams off it onto the carpark, bypasses the drains and then onto ours, I levelled a good bit off to site the apiary and now the water collects there for a while before running off into the fields belowMine was like that last year so I put in land drains and dug out the ditches. I know it is drier this year but no problem thus far and the drains are flowing
At least it will keep SHB awayWent paddling
Looks like when they said they'd improved the drainage at the new units behind us, they were talking tripe - again!View attachment 30406View attachment 30407View attachment 30408View attachment 30409
we're safe where we are, some sixty feet or more higher than the river which is only three hundred yards or so away, the only issue now is this water draining off onto the top end of our gardenIt's been a touch damp here. I read they were forecasting possible floods in South Wales though.
