How did you discover it was nosema?

It's my best guess as there was a lot of poo streaks on the crown board and along the sides of the eke. Certainly dysentery related.
Today, just watched the bees coming and going and pleased at the amount of pollen going in.
Spotted a bumble bee going underground to her nest.
The only inspection today was by a queen wasp around and underneath all of the hives.

Just observed my hive today and noticed a big wasp going in and coming out about 3 mins later.
I thought the bees would of killed it but obvious not.
Do wasps Rob hives?

Yes they do.

Probably a queen looking for a nest site at this time of year.

Spent this morning moving 2 hives to another apiary to take advantage of the OSR. Checked the others, some doing well others still slow even after a week of good weather.
No drones or drone brood in evidence yet. I will postpone the first attempt at grafting for another week.

Black ash, true service tree, aronias and maples are on the menu these days. I worry only cause of hot weather, it will shorten the forage period.. Tick tack till the black locust start - all beeks are watching up and measuring flower cluster growth.. daily..
Many are gone after OSR, I think they will race with time to extract OSR and prepare for black locust. So far the weather for OSR seems favourable.

Need to check the queenrightness of one and swarm prevention checks but its now below ten degrees and raining. So not today. Crossing fingers time.
