A friend of mine owns a forum and he is adamant that there should be absolutely no comments made of a religious or political nature made.

I wonder if he is correct ?

I think that he is right. Oddly it is the same for the Freemasons, where they never discuss religion or politics between themselves at meetings.

His forum, so, right or wrong, members should abide by his rules when posting on it.

Same rules as my dad.

Politics can influence the welfare of beekeeping and should be discuses.
Religion can be a big part of peoples life's and should be kept to themselves but no harm in defending their beliefs without offending others

The trouble is that politics and religion, in some cases, are part and parcel of your 'beliefs' and these do stray into your life in general and this, of course, also has an impact on your beekeeping. So ... discussion of politics or religion for the sake of it ... a resounding NO ... but as it translates in relation to your beekeeping ... with reservations, Yes.

Seems like religion is ok on this forum, as its a toping being discussed right now.:spy:

Forums and religion are a definite no-no.

Lets see how nice we can play before the threads get locked.

The trouble with politics is they use religion to back their cause, and weapons of mass destruction, and the occasional barrel of oil paid for in dollars not Euros
