Interested in people's view on timing of winter treatment.

I treated using sublimated oxalic acid over a 3 week period in the autumn and I was planning to do a winter treatment as well. Two questions:

1) Is a winter treatment really necessary given that I treated in September?

2) If one does a winter treatment, is it best to do now when days are shortest, or later in the winter during a cold spell?

Thanks!

YES to all the above!

If you feel the need to do it, do it now, they'll start to pick up their brooding from now on, regardless of weather, also OA doesn't work as well (either sublimation or trickling) if the bees are tightly clustered

Depends on how effective your autumn treatment was and how many others in your area.
