I don't think anyone has said differently? I am fairly sure I have not. I have eagerly awaited the Thorne sale just about every year I have kept bees.
I tend to think they are probably better value than first quality hives.
But my view of the 'sale' is that it is not quite the simple sale as many might associate with the word. Instead, I view it as a very good marketing ploy and a means of keeping the workforce employed without huge stockpiling of products. I have nothing against that at all. Maybe it is a shame they don't have a 'sale' all year round!
