Hi Guys...my bees are located in an urban area Ive just extraced some honey it looks like molasses there are no farms or crops near by Im surprised by this any thoughts would be welcome
 
Different colours all year depending on the forage. May be honeydew which is dark, as is sycamore which had a good crop in spring. Keep a jar to compare with future years. Always wish I had kept one jar from every crop!

Thanks Guys...I took some frames for extraction a few weeks ago and they were much lighter...they must have found another source of forage I expect...clever little blighters
 
Different supers can give different colours and consistency, let alone different hives. Very rarely are two crops the same unless you have a large crop for them to collect nectar from. Usually trees or farm fields.
