Glyphosate, a herbicide, is the most widely used pesticide in the world. It is in most foods we eat. Recent studies have found significant levels of glyphosate in urine of almost every German of 2,000 tested

Is it used as an artificial sweetener in the weak German larger beers and in Leiberfrau wine?

Very disappointing ... but par for the course BBKA who seem to be determined to sit on the fence at best and fall off on the side of the agrochemical industry at worst ....

"the enforcement division of the VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate) has made it clear that this approved oxalic acid (Apibioxal) is the only one to be sold by suppliers and used by beekeepers in the treatment of varroa,.. Beekeepers should not try to get round the new situation: the VMD really does know what a true hive cleanser is and we should show other manufacturers ,,, we are prepared to repay them for their investment, provided their pricing is sensible."

Tim Lovett,Director of Public Affairs. BBKA magazine May 2016. Bee Medicines.

Worth reading the entire article.. Items in brackets are inserted by me for clarity..

Edit
I read the article and decided that compulsory registration is going to be next from his tone..

Funny isn't it - they were happy to take trader's money for their stands at the convention and 'turn a blind eye' to the fact that many were selling both sublimators and OA crystals.

At first I didn't subscribe to the belief that the big chemical companies who produce neonicotinoids were trying to lay a false trail and blame everything on varroa, but as time
goes on I can see this is happening. Unfortunately I don't have enough posts to put links in, research in Italy has show very conclusively that the neonicotinoids depress the bees immune system and it is this that has allowed Deformed Wing Virus to become the number one enemy of our bees.

Brings back memories of one of the reasons I started this forum.

Thank heavens you did :)
I have enough Oxalic to see me out. As far as noting batch numbers ......I don't treat.

"we are prepared to repay them for their investment, provided their pricing is sensible."
Actually........What investment?
Beekeepers have been sublimating oxalic for many years.
Standing on the shoulders of giants springs to mind.

Remember that under the 2011 regs you are required to keep a record of all treatments by hive and medicine batch no and supplier.. for five years...

So I'll have them...
