Any good tips for building a Solar wax melter?
anyone got some photos of a built one....

just looking to melt some old standard frames and some bits of wild comb
 
i will try to see if the solar wax melter video is still on you tube for you, if not try these.

build it the size of your baking tray plus a bit more for the tubberware box to hold the melted wax, paint every thing inside and out with matt black paint
dont use a window marked with K glass as it works againt you but a double glased unit is best
 
Go on to you tube amd serch for "make a solar wax melter" and theres 1 on there, about the 2nd down, aussie girl showing how to make 1 very cheaply.
I have made 1 and it works and cost me less then £10.
 
greenurbanliving, brilliant, thanks for that - so simple it's beautiful, I even have three of those polystyrene (euugh to the feel but nevermind) boxes, I knew they would come in handy :)
