Am I witnessing the booting out of the drones from the Warre hive?
Is this rather early? They seem to have been carrying in lots of pollen.
Only got them as a swarm in early June

It depends what the colony wants I suppose. They are not building up but consolidating. They will be making winter preps and don’t need drones. Some of my colonies have them some dont

I have two colonies. One is a Warre and the other in a National. They are 20-30m apart but are both super active, flying around in a fury. I can clearly see still a number of drones outside of the Warre.
