I spotted that there are some 'seconds' skeps on a certain auction site. Seem unbelievably cheap - perhaps I need to look at postage. It says they are mishapen and the illustration is not the actual one being auctioned - can anyone see any problems with them? As long as they are still functional I don't think bees would mind a lack of symmetry or perfection, would they?

Are they previously used? If so, could harbour disease - very difficult to sterilise I would think.

They are new; size given as 30cm by 30 cm and I have just checked - postage about £4.50.

Just had a look, and there local to me.I might go for one as i would save on postage :D

They are from vectis apiculture - previously recommended on here at their normal price.

They went for £10ish plus p&p, will keep an eye out for their stuff......

I bought a vectis skep last year and it is fine. Can't remember the size (they do different ones). Also came with a free hive tool. Good value.

I got one for a rennet a while ago and it looks like itnwill do the job.
