Rape around Quint, Cosworth, St Columb Rd, Tregamere and when i went to Showground today I noticed some towards Bodmin way.

I do not know aboutr deepest darkest Kernow but there are fields and fields of the stuff growing next to the Callington to Saltash Road !!!

There was some discussion on another thread about many men unknowingly having colour blindness.

Just not on my route by the sound of things, there used to be fields of it around the Roseland and between Helston and Truro, but seems to be elsewhere now. I'll put my tinted glasses on and look around in May . Thanks for the sightings.

Yep bodmins got it and tregonetha. usually some over st mabyn way as well, first year i have seen it this close to bodmin though. loads of tatty planting gone on here as well this year

Strangely just been talking to a farmer about this.
I saw a bright yellow field close to me and thought it was OSR and investigated.
The field in question had been planted with cabbage that had been left to 'go-over' and the yellow flowers were from a weed I hadnt heard off.
The farmer said that the conditions in 'proper' Cornwall dont suit OSR but it is grown around Newquay and northwards.

One thing he said was that as part of stewardship scheme he and many other SW cereal growers are going to be growing birdseed mixes which have a high proportion of sunflower. He is going to give me a call when it is coming into flower and I can move hives there if I want. Has anyone seen these 'mixes' and if so are they any good?
