Do you need to glue / fix the eke in place to use 14x12 frames?

If glue which type?

No, don't glue it. It is designed to fit in place securely.

You may at some time wish to use it for standard size frames.

Don't glue it - because otherwise it will be even more of a job to sanitise it with washing soda and then bleach, before putting a different colony into it.

Particularly with frames in, it doesn't come apart on its own.
The lifting handholds/fingergrips are on the base part.

Don't forget to put in one of the small plastic bits (QX or blocker, you should know which I'd use) into the feeder entrance --- that's under (before adding) the eke and particularly before the frames and bees!

I have held the eke in place with tank tape while using the box as a skep, but really I ought to find it easier to climb a ladder with just the small(er) box and leave the eke at ground level.
