Do you use a higher dose if you are overwintering on Double brood?

That site recommends 1g per brood hive, my Association was using 3g for a single brood chamber!! Anyone else have any advice.
Thanks

Yeah my gut instinct was mine wasn't enough to really flood the hive, but I erred on the side of caution.

I use between 2g to 2.5g depending on how compressed it is in the little tubs i use for my convenience, i don't weigh it any more as i know how much these little tubs hold... within .5 of a gram will make no difference, this is on double brood boxes and brood + half but i would think only one of them boxes is full of bees at the moment.
