Can't disagree with that. If it already exists, extending its life is likely to be a positive thing. My first one came from a piece that had got caught in a hedge, so I stopped the car and grabbed it.

have you got a picture or diagram of what he actually used. I havent been able to find anything. I have a book which talks vaguely about it. I'm expecially interested if he used top ventilation or not. I have the same trouble with US originated papers as they dont often state whether they are ventilating or not.

Looking at video footage, I can see feeder holes open in crownboards, but no top entrances and only solid floors.
Have you spoken to Phil Chandler? He has a few of Brother Adams original hives.
