Hospitals around here are converting their canteens into temporary ICU's

But yeah, drove down to the Garn cottage apiary today and everywhere were large groups of people walking or cycling - saw one post on facebook earlier where she was complaining about the large groups of people congregating on the mountain near Sennybridge and the Usk reservoir and looking forward to when a lockdown is called. How did she know? they'd been for a last family day out through Llandeilo, Llandovery and Cynghordy while they were still able to :banghead:

We have to shop for food one day this week. Do I go to small town supermarket or Aberystwyth Lidl? Where are there going to be fewer people?
Online shopping is a joke. Not even click and collect available for all the slots for a month.

We've had a bouncer on the door at Aldi, one out, one in.

Sounds very sensible...There are concerns about the early OAP and NHS worker supermarket slots with them both mixing together. Rightly so.
That is 2 groups that should be totally segregated at the moment.

I see Snowdonia National Park had it's busiest day ever. as did many other parts of Wales...everyone but their mother was out on the hills.

Crazy down here - avoided checking the apiary at the castle for that reason, but knowing Bernard (owner of the castle and surrounding land) he's probably already got a big sign up saying F*** Off :icon_204-2:
Up North some farmers have taken matters into their own hands and barricaded off the carparks
I wish I could say that I'm shocked at the stupidity of the British people, sadly, I'm not.

I am afraid I have an even worse story.
Friend of mine in Cumbria told me story of 20 year old lad coming back from Italy with virus. In isolation period, he visited his grandparents. (Not infected fortunately)

He was seen by my friend today talking to elderly couple inside their house - his isolation period is not up.

Friend told him to get out: he just laughed at him. Parents told .

Scarcely believable...

Moronic..

Go wherever is easiest, but if anyone gets within 2m just start coughing and watch them scatter! Works a treat, tried it in Aldi earlier today:eek:

I see that Mother Ivy's Bay caravan site has now closed to all... even the 2nd home owners on the site... after LOCAL PRESSURE.... delivery drivers refusing to enter site as concerned that the folk traveling down from London could be infected with this horrible virus.

Seems to me that some ( not all) are profiteering over the scare of food shortages with a lot of the "granny cafffs" setting up hot food takeaway and "farm produce shops" from their carparks.
Local produce wholesalers are very busy... and if honey keeps selling at this rate we are going to run out of jars and lids!!

I hope you are sticking to the 2 metre rule, selling your honey. ;)
Are you wearing gloves handling the money? Good idea to place the money into isolation for 2 weeks

My other half says Covid19 is female because he is not allowed to go out, to socialise with friends or touch money and has to clean the house thoroughly.

Been looking for nitrile gloves for beekeeping. Ha! What a joke! Found some on eBay in the end. Stan's are pink though :D

That reminds me, got about half a dozen or more boxes stashed away from my days on the boats, I'd better step up security!!

Just tried to buy an ordinary packet of ibuprofen. It is suddenly four times the price it was last month. Someone is making the most of it. I think my honey is going to be four times the price too!

Some are profiteering, but in all fairness to our local convenience store, his prices have stuck the same, in all of his shops.
