Looks good ... I can see that you have cut the centre out of one of Paynes poly crown boards - how did you fit the polycarbonate sheet into it ?

cut precisely, fit snugly, clear sealant/adhesive around from both sides.

5mm - 6mm works best. I've used 8mm that I got free and that was ok as well. Anything much thinner than 4mm tends to bend under the weight of a feeder and you will need to support the centre with some scraps of timber resting on the tops of the frames.
I use 3mm and rapid feeders. I've never found any bending of the polycarbonate with a full feeder.
 
I only use 3 mm and have never had a problem. Easy to cut too..... just deeply score the surface and break over a sharp edge.
I was given some 6 mm and cut that with a sliding chop saw. Just lightly scoring the surface with each slide. Taking about 1mm each time.
