That is all we have. Demanding audiance which never laugh. The best of them laugh only to their own "things". Prelaughed like in American TV series.

Quite a few in my association with a 'limited' sense of humour, Finman. Lost that 'fire' they had when they were young. Sad to see such sullen faces. "Beekeeping should be fun" I've heard more than once. Keep up the good work.....
(Still some lively ones on here though, I'm glad to say):)

I wonder why British dogs have no sense of humour? Welsh dogs have.

I'm British and I do have a sense of humour alright. Life is FAR TO SHORT to be miserable and serious all the time. Bees are important to us on this forum, but it's not life and death. Keep laughing Finman and watch the blood pressure!
regards :)

Today I visited another treatment free beekeeper and delivered a hive of my bees to him to raise queens from. The intent is to give him a bit of genetic diversity and see if it will boost performance of his bees. I will retrieve the colony later this year.

Finman, What is the last thing a finman sees at night before he falls asleep?

The bottom of the bottle judging by some recent posts ...

Well. Now I understand why you do not have money for foundations..
.

I have money for foundations but my bees seem to prefer making their own ...from beeswax. Beeswax that has not been contaminated with chemicals or cut with paraffin wax or worse ... But, you don't understand the philosophy of my beekeeping .. you just harp on about maximising the crop you can get from your bees. I get a honey crop but it's the crop that my bees produce under conditions close to what they would be in the wild. I don't keep my hens in cages and feed them measured amount of protein and kill them when they cease to lay an egg a day ... so why should I try to force my bees to make more honey ?
