Once you have a mated and laying queen in an Apidea, what are the options next ?

Is is case of tipping all the bees into a nuc ? If so, what do you do with the three frames of eggs, larvae and brood ?

If it was me I’d introduce her into a hive. Either a queenless hive, a hive with an old queen and replace her or sell her on. Give to somebody looking for a queen. Twice (one last year and once this year) I have had the queen leave the apieda after a while. This years wasn’t a problem as she was an un clipped non laying queen. All she was for for was use for was a show piece in resin!!

Put the queen excluder on the door before re the abscond

see my post under the thread
Methods for transferring a queen out of an apidea
by paper uniting Apidea by sliding out the bottom.

Also can hatch out brood in super on top of colony (need to break down any Q cells on them after 6 days)
