I have been fascinated today by one single bee in a hole on a my fence post , the bee was carrying leaves bigger than its self and has totally blocked off the hole, could it have been a mortar bee that has laid eggs in the hole?

Thankyou both so does the bee have teeth I was wondering how he was cutting the leaves? what do you think is in the hole eggs? it was very nice to watch:)

They lay an egg in the hole and fill the rest with leaves. I watched one doing the same on my garage wall.

Thankyou for the reply I am really happy to have seen this not worthy

check your roses, they have been munching the leaves on mine ;)
