stiffy - your doc is quite right. yes several meds, including ACEs, may cause worse reactions to stings.

That is why it is suggested that they are not given to those undergoing desensitisation since, by definition, these individuals already get life threatening reactions to stings and so do not want to be at extra risk when having their regular jab.

Since being diagnosed I have been on a fitness regime and fitness levels have increased and weight reduced. Hopefully this will help but think main problem is a family link as all my (6) brothers and sisters have high blood pressure, some are built like racing snakes!

It was the warning about bee stings that made me question the prescription. I will keep an eye on my reactions to stings when I get them next, luckily my bees are nice and docile and sting rarely.
