Sweet chestnuts well on the way here next week should be good. Even with these showers the last week plenty has come in and judging by the nectar in the frames lime has been ok.

Favourite flowers in the garden for honeybees this week are astrantias. Lots of honeybees on the geraniums too and bumbles are loving the foxgloves

Poppies. Mallow. Thistles. Clover. Brambles. Broom

2 fields for rape just started flowering about 1/2 mile from one of my apiaries. Someone taking advantage of high rapeseed oil prices?

Same here Dani, I saw meadowsweet last Sunday and HB started yesterday around me.

Still need a miracle. My bees are eating everything they have stored. Bramble more or less rained off. Plenty of clover but not hot enough.
All that hard work! Sometimes I get quite despondent 🥲

Bramble is barely open here. I've seen some flowers open, but there are still a lot of closed buds. Loads of (white) clover, but it seems to be the bumble bees that prefer it. Lots of bees flying from the bait hive outside my office window today despite the poor weather, but I've no idea what they're foraging on.

Bramble's going over here, just got back from walking the dog and some of the berries are already darkening! Plenty of clover, lime and chestnut still out though, and lots of gardens around - bees are loving the lavender and coralberry in my front garden.

Similar issues up here, I'm hoping that the bramble will still be of some use as its only just really coming into flower now, but hey've eaten everything they stored to date. Out on the dunes this morning and walked into a heavenly scent on the breeze - Lady's bedstraw (Galium verum)
