I bought a load from Amazon last week, it was 80p per kg. The deal has disappeared now though. They probably got hammered with orders.

I'd guess they're rolling the shipping costs into the price. It does get a lot cheaper buying in bulk, but still not far off £2/kg. There is some with an "expiry date" of 2009 that's on offer for £30/25kg, but pick up only from Coalville.
