I think you've got hold of the wrong end of the stick B+. This is about protecting ethical importers such as you and protecting legitimate and safe imports.

I am perfectly happy with the system we have. There's no need to change something that works so well.

Until somebody more credible mentions it, it doesn't exist outside of the Tamar valley.

It does... our regional NBU inspector and our SW SBI team have all seen* the virus, and the NBU are investigating.

* the devastation it causes... NOT the actual virus.. an SEM would be needed for that!!!

Agreed but change is coming whether we want it or not. Trying to understand and shape the change for 'equivalence' or better just seems prudent. IPAFFS vs TRACES vs IV66 with or without freeports, the impact of WTO etc. Has there been much of a consultation with beekeepers on what WTO position the UK should adopt regarding bees?
