Took more than I expected, bit of an odd word really! Did plenty of early elimination but still had 3 options after line 3 and guessed wrong.
After line 4 I had the same pattern with the last 4 found as Roche but had eliminated down to just one possible word.
Roche was unlucky to go through all 4 before hitting it!

Elimination worked well, 2 letters found and 12 eliminated by first 3 lines - only 1 possible next!
After second line there were 10 possibles and I was pretty sure I the right choice for line 3 guaranteed a 4.

not what I expect, I expect to be consistent around 4 or maybe 5.
Normal elimination intent with first split but unexpectedly found 3 letters: 7 possible solutions and my options constrained... The best way I could see to discriminate between the possibles was actually the solution- plain LUCK!
I was trying to avoid Jamez's situation finding that middle letter and possibly result in a 4 otherwise a 3 was rather likely.
