I seem to be racking up the fives recently. It all seemed to be going so well at the start, but there were just too many options...

... up to 9 words matching with letters 2,4&5 but then you could eliminate some of them - though there are only 2 vowels and 8 other letters across all 9.

Big improvement today, though there were so many possibilities at this point it's impossible to claim anything other than luck...

Need to think about what I can learn here, I got trapped into getting too fixed after first 2 letters found. At turn 4 I had 3 options just differing in third letter and could have needed all 6 turns.
Think I could have done better if I avoided using the most common letter at position 2 in try 3 when there were 21 solutions, like being on the green for 2 and then 3 putting!
[I'm looking at it knowing the solution, seeing how that would have played out for all 21 possibles would take a while!]

I think I had significantly fewer choices than 35, due to the tactical elimination strategy exhibited in the first guess...
For sure. Only with our discreet conventions it's never clear how much info we had, what we used...
I'd vote for showing each word tried as it would be way more interesting - if you don't want a spoiler then do puzzle before looking at forum!
What do you think??
For me it's all in the elimination strategies!

Interesting lumpy first line, 1 green at fourth, 1 yellow and only 5 possible solutions AFAIK from there and was sure of a three - unexpected!

After getting the last two letters on line two, it was easy to see the answer.
Another stunning first line though!
