We have a few inches here already but it's forecast to snow all day. My wife had to abandon the car in a garden centre car park and walk 2 miles home as the hills around here are blocked by accidents/abandoned vehicles

Still snowing and looks set to go on all day, though it is a lot finer now. The dogs enjoyed themselves this morning, I would prefer to see it all melted and gone for the morning, it's bloody miserable to work in.

a pathetic fall of snow overnight although the mountains have had quite a bit - the scenic route to the association apiary was driveable but quite a bit of snow there (I was alerted to the fact by an acquaintance coming back from his night shift so I went the long way round)
I thought I'd conform for once and join in the obligatory seasonal panic buy - called in the supermarket on the way back and bought a small loaf of bread and an extra case of decent tonic water to assist with clearing the ice

In the garden I have a bedraggled buzzard that’s made it’s temporary home in the bushes next to the hen house. The hens have crammed themselves into the Eglu. No heart to move him so I’ve fed him instead and he’s tucking into a big slice of Pork Belly.

Lucky bird! Here there's been nothing unusual on the bird feeders, despite the snow. But at the rate they're eating I'll have to go out shopping for more bird food well before humans' supplies.

We’ve had 6” too I would guess. These were taken at lunchtime and it’s snowed all afternoon

LOL. A friend of mine uses an old phone as an alarm clock, he forgets to change the time when the clocks go forward or backward. That's how old it is.
