Tesco still the least expensive in this area of outstanding natural booty !

Popped into my local booker today for some stuff for school and had a look at the price of sugar there.

its £20.99 for 25kg at the moment with a notice above the 2 bags they had there saying "british sugar notice max 5 bags per customer for the forseable future"

As mentioned previously their "Euro Shopper" brand can be a bit cheaper than the big sacks

well I plumped for the booker bulk bag as I was there and it's a darn sight easier to store and handle - especially the volume of syrup I've made each night. but yes, probably could have got it cheaper elsewhere before anyone point that out... !

Waitrose £1.43 per 2kg bag of cane sugar... free delivery!
ordered 50 bags.... manager phoned me to double check.. explained bees etc etc.. then he said they only had 1kg bags if that was OK... same price as 50 2kg bags this time inc free delivery... then I mentioned Community Orchard bees and he promised to look into saving the split bags as they would be happy to donate to a charitable// community project.

restored my somewhat shaken faith in humanity... hope he manages to keep his job in the next round of politically inspired redundancies.

I was in Bookers Harrogate today and was just about to pick up a 25Kg sack for £20.99 when I noticed their special offer.

15 x 1kg @ £11.99.

So big, leak prone sack is £0.84/kg and easy to use 1kg bags are £0.80/kg

Go figure!
