There's some great material out there It's the sort of thing Bob Newhart excelled in.
.Hi guys.
Got a problem. Need your ideas.
And no sniggering on the back row, jenkinsbrynmair!
The hive is in the roof of Manchester Cathedral.
Three, possibly four supers to be removed for extraction.
But the only way down is a narrow, spiral stone staircase - 43 steps down.
....]
.
dear Sir
Do it same way as you carried the hive up there.
Sincerely yours
The whole Scandinavia
PS. May the Force be with you
There you are Dusty - the answer was there all the time - take all the honey out of the frames to make the supers light enough to carry one handed down the narrow, steep spiral staircase ans job done - the only question now is how are you going to empty all the frames?
Any ideas out there?
Question is, are supers full or empty
The yield was miserable in whole England this summer, but cathedral hive brought a record, 100 kg.
IT is a miracle!
.
What we all can learn from this case:
1) Stay far away from cathedrals.
2) Keep you feet on the ground!
